Today Adelaide K9 Services was registered to assist clients with Assistance Animal Permits in NSW, via our Owner-Assisted Assistance Dog Program. We will be rolling out remote assistance dog sessions in 2026.

Today Marie and Pie's extraordinary story was published in the The Advertiser. Pie, a grand champion show dog was the first dog accredited under our Owner-Assisted Assistance Dog Program, and we couldn't be more proud!

Adelaide K9 Services were invited by SA Ambulance Service to provide Assistance Dog Familiarisation to operational members from the Woodville Ambulance Station. We did four sessions for each of the teams, and they were very well received.

An 8 yo Collie named Pie has just made history. After months of training with Adelaide K9 Services, Pie has become the first dog to be accredited under our Owner-Assisted Assistance Dog Program — helping his owner overcome psychological injuries and return to public life after nearly a decade.

Our Director, Scott recently attended a 3 day seminar on behaviour modification and leash reactivity conducted by legendary US trainer Michael Ellis.

Our Director, Scott was approved by the Dog and Cat Management Board to provide training courses for dogs subject to Control Orders under S50 of the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995.

Facing a hearing at Dogs SA can be a daunting prospect! We did a temperament assessment and attended the hearing with our client whose dog was charged with being aggressive to a judge at a show. She was fined, but avoided a lifetime ban.

Our Director, Scott was recently elected to Vice President of the Australasian Working Patrol Dog Association. A not-for-profit organisation which aims to provide world class training opportunities for government and private working dog teams throughout the region.

Our Director, Scott is the only trainer in Adelaide certified by the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. To achieve certification, he had to be recommended by a veterinarian, show 300 hours of behaviour consults and pass a 200-question exam. Check here.

Chuck was collected for a registered breeder in NSW. Dr Chris from Noah's Crossing Vet Clinic said there was good volume, and the sample thawed well. He rated his sperm as excellent. We have several vials available. Link Here

Scott participated in the Australian Working Patrol Dog Association conference in Bungendore NSW. The conference was well attended by government agencies from around the country. His own dog Chuck (pictured) performed well and was a standout among the private sector dogs.

Scott worked GSD 'Socks' for the Centenary of Armistice Day Celebrations. The event was incident free, with the biggest challenge keeping the local kangaroos away from the 62,000 handmade poppies.
